What causes hollow face?
The factors that play into facial hollowing include aging, genetics, environment, diet, personal habits, and illness. A hollow face is caused by decreased facial pads, elastin, and collagen production. The effects of facial hollowing become more pronounced as we age when our fat pads, collagen, and elastin begin to breakdown. The cheeks and the eyes are the most common areas we see hollowing occur.
How do you treat hollow face?
Here at Aesthetica we treat facial hollowing via facial rejuvenation with injectable dermal fillers. We carry hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxylapatite, and poly-L-lactic acid injectable fillers. These fillers are naturally occurring compounds in our body and they can help add volume as well as stimulate our bodies natural collagen and elastin production.
