Sculptra Aesthetic, an FDA-approved injectable, works by helping stimulate your skin’s own natural collagen production to help restore its inner structure and increase facial volume that has been lost to aging which gives an overall more youthful appearance.
Benefits of Sculptra Aesthetic include:
- Helps to gradually replace lost collagen
- Helps to restore facial volume and the look of fullness to wrinkles and folds over time
- Can be used to improve the appearance of smile lines, marionette lines, chin wrinkles, cheeks, temples, and jawline.
- Results can last more than two years
How many treatments will I need?
On average, three to four Sculptra treatments are needed over a period of a few months. The number of treatments needed vary from patient to patient depending on how much collagen has been lost.
How is Sculptra different from other dermal fillers?
Sculptra Aesthetic is different because it works with your body within the deep dermis, rather than topically, to help revitalize collagen production and help restore your skin’s inner structure and volume. As the Sculptra Aesthetic microparticles are absorbed, they help stimulate collagen production. Rebuilt collagen strands begin gradually helping to restore facial volume and the look of fullness to wrinkles and folds.
How does Sculptra Aesthetic work?
Sculptra Aesthetic is made with biocompatible, biodegradable, synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid, which is gradually and naturally absorbed by the body and helps to rebuild lost collagen through a series of treatments administered by a trained specialist like one of our Nurse Practitioner Injectors.
One of our Nurse Practitioner Injectors will inject Sculptra Aesthetic within the deep dermis, where strands of collagen support the skin’s structure. Over time, Sculptra Aesthetic helps the body reproduce lost collagen.
