Non-surgical chin augmentation
A non-surgical chin augmentation is an effective way to increase the projection, width, and/or length of your chin. A chin augmentation can enhance the shape and definition of your chin and create a balanced facial profile.
A non-surgical chin augmentation is typically performed using Juvéderm Voluma, a dermal filler meant for chin augmentation. Voluma can be and is often combined in one appointment with Volux Dermal Filler to enhance the chin shape, jawline definition, and overall facial profile balancing. Voluma chin filler can last up to 12 months.
Double chin reduction with Kybella (deoxycholic acid)
Submental fat, or the double chin, can be caused by genetics, aging, and weight gain. Reducing submental fat can be done so with Kybella (deoxycholic acid).
Kybella (deoxycholic acid) is an FDA-approved injectable medication that dissolves fat cells below the chin and jawline. A treatment series of Kybella (deoxycholic acid) can result in decreased fat deposits, revealing a stronger, more defined jawline.
Although some patients don’t require getting treated with male jawline filler after their Kybella (deoxycholic acid) treatment series, some patients may need to be treated with jawline or chin filler to amplify their results.
Kybella (deoxycholic acid) results are permanent. The number of treatments needed varies from patient to patient. Although most patients see visible results after 2-4 treatments, some patients may require up to 6 treatments to achieve optimal results.
CoolSculpting for double chin reduction
CoolSculpting is another treatment that we can use at Aesthetica to reduce submental fat. This treatment targets, freezes, and reduces fat cells by eliminating them naturally through cryolipolysis. CoolSculpting is an FDA-cleared, non-invasive treatment that reduces stubborn fat pockets by 20-25%. CoolSculpting treatments have little to no downtime, and patients can expect to see results in 1-3 months, with final results visible in 6+ months.
Similar to Kybella (deoxycholic acid), patients may or may not require being treated with Volux or Voluma jawline or chin filler depending on their results after completing their CoolSculpting. This can be discussed with an Aesthetica provider once you have completed your CoolSculpting treatment.

Volux XC is the first and only FDA-approved dermal filler for improving jawline definition. Volux adds volume and improves the shape and structure of the lower face with smooth, long-lasting results without the need for surgery.
Volux has a higher density than other dermal fillers which allows Aesthetica Nurse Injectors to better shape and refine the chin and jaw area to give you the look you want from all angles. Volux has a thicker consistency than other dermal fillers. Due to this, it can be used to treat sagging and adding definition. Volux results can last up to 18 months.
