Aesthetica's medical weight loss program starts with a comprehensive, private consultation with one of our Nurse Practitioners. During this consultation, your provider will evaluate your medical history, medications you're taking, as well as your goals to then craft a GLP-1 weight loss program uniquely suited for you.
Lab Testing
Depending on your medical history or if you're interested in BioTE hormone therapy for weight loss, your Nurse Practitioner may request a lab draw to better evaluate your hormone, glucose, and lipid levels.
Supplementation, Nutrition, & Exercise
During this same consultation, your provider will walk you through any supplements or peptides you may benefit from on your weight loss and health and wellness journey. Additionally, they will walk you through a nutrition and exercise plan to help you get the most out of your weight loss journey and to ensure you're safely losing weight.

Patients who are candidates for GLP-1 medical weight loss are those with a Body Mass Index (BMI) above 27 or have one or more weight related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, prediabetes or diabetes, and a family history of obesity.

Can Aesthetica run either weight loss treatment through insurance?
No, neither treatment is covered through insurance, so we cannot run BioTE nor GLP-1 medications through any insurance plan. However, at Aesthetica we do accept HSA cards and we do offer payment plan options through Cherry and CareCredit.
Will I lose muscle during the weight loss program?
Any type of significant weight loss can cause reduced muscle mass. However, at Aesthetica, we are dedicated to creating a plan for you that places an emphasis on nutrition (protein intake and fiber) as well as intentional exercise plans to help reduce the risk of losing muscle mass.
